Sheridan Youth Volleyball Program
Our Youth Volleyball Program is meant to teach age appropriate skill development and give the kids opportunities to play in volleyball matches. Children grades 2-5 can participate. The younger age group will focus on skill sets for serving, bumping, and setting. The older children will practice the same basic skill sets and focus on ball control, blocking, and attacks! We also encourage positive reinforcement and teaching the kids to have fun while being part of a team and working together. A great chance to learn while hanging out with friends!
We have worked closely with the SHS volleyball coach, Melissa Jump, to establish the skill sets and method of training preferred and used by the HS team. This will give the children a solid ground level of basic skill sets when enter school play. I am so excited for this opportunity and look forward to building a solid program from the ground up!
Season: Mid- August through October
Uniforms and Equipment: Volleyball Jerseys are provided. Kids may wear black shorts with the jerseys for game days. Tennis Shoes are required on the gym floor. Kids are encouraged to bring their own knee pads to protect their knees.
